SHAWN M. CARROLL
Chief Executive Officer
Shawn Carroll is a native born Kentuckian from Kentucky’s Appalachian Region. Shawn possesses decades of payments industry and financial technology experience and expertise. Shawn entered the Payments Industry in 1996 and has worked with companies such as Electronic Exchange Systems, Electronic Merchant Systems, Retriever Payment Solutions, National Processing Company, WorldPay (now known as FIS Global), Nova Information Systems (now known as Elavon), First Data Corporation (now known as FISERV), TSYS (Total System Solutions), Paysafe, Evolv, SignaPay, and so many more. Shawn sits on several executive advisory boards in the Payments Industry, many of which are Publicly Traded Companies. Shawn is also a member of the Electronic Transactions Association, in Washington, DC. Shawn has continued to thrive throughout the Payment Industry’s many mergers and acquisitions. These mergers, also known as industry consolidation, have crippled many payments companies. Shawn’s relationships with virtually every U.S based credit card processor and the most relevant super ISOs throughout the United States has allowed PonyPay to have continual success. Many of these relationships have been in place with Shawn personally or with one of the many companies he owns for over twenty years.

Shane Tarvin joined the PonyPay team in the fall of 2019. After graduating from South Laurel High school in 1993, Shane attended Berea College in Berea, KY. He played basketball for four years and graduated with honors and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. After college, Shane spent the next ten years as a commercial banker and worked as an analyst at First National Bank and Trust in Corbin KY.

Director of Marketing, Ryne Beeding, joined PonyPay’s team in December of 2018. Ryne began his career in the payments industry as a Senior Account Executive for Kentucky Payments. PonyPay’s executive level management quickly recognized Ryne’s potential for a leadership position. Ryne was tasked early on with managing social media and the digital presence for PonyPay and it’s brands. Shortly there after, Ryne was promoted to The Director of Marketing. Ryne continues to be instrumental to PonyPay’s digital presence and an integral part of the team. Ryne edits and oversees PonyPay’s brand management and digital presence. Ryne often finds himself managing relationships around the world with development teams and overseeing multiple software integration projects for ISVs.

Nelda began her career in the payment processing industry in 2004 with Retriever Payment Systems/NPC as a Bilingual Customer Service Representative. She then became a Quality Assurance Representative and ended as an Operations Research Team Lead. Nelda gained a vast amount of knowledge working with Retriever Payments/NPC for over 7 ½ years.

Prior to PonyPay, Matt worked as a crew leader in road construction for many years. However, the dangerous nature of this trade was sure to eventually catch up with him. For that reason, Matt decided to try a different career path as a Journeyman Plumber.

Maxwell Boures joined the payment industry in 2018 and then joined the ranks of PonyPay in April 2021. Maxwell graduated from Centenary University where he majored in Finance and Business. He also played on the Lacrosse and Golf teams while he was there, forming the understanding of teamwork and business. After graduating, Maxwell served as an account executive for TAS Insurance Agency working with Personal and Commercial Businesses. After learning as much as he could there, he chose to broaden his skills by working for Enterprise and ADP in years after. These two opportunities gave him the understanding of running the business and the backend expenses that influence business flow. A little while later, Maxwell returned to TAS Insurance Agency to run the Personal Lines Department and help them expand into newer markets. When coronavirus threatened businesses and forced many to shut down, Maxwell decided to find a way to help companies not only save on expenses but also have a new sense of freedom.
